Thea Belmont writes sapphic fiction about women who want things they've been taught to be ashamed of — control, power, each other — and doesn't apologise for any of it on their behalf.

Her debut novel, Principle Decisions, won the 2024 GCLS Goldie Award for Best Erotica and introduced the voice she's become known for: precise, unflinching, and very funny in the moment just before it isn't. Madame Hyde, published in January 2026, pushed further into the duality at the centre of her work — the women behind their own reputations. A third novel is forthcoming from Ylva Publishing.

She lives in Sydney, Australia, with a background in English literature and an ongoing interest in the mechanics of self-control — what it costs to keep it, and what happens when someone finally lets it go.
